As the UK's national weather service, they generate forecasts 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They increasingly work in partnership with others to ensure people everywhere have access to their forecasts across mobile, web and broadcast platforms. They are a Trading Fund within the Department for Business Innovation and Skills, operating on a commercial basis under set targets. Their targets are verified and publicised in this section.
