Their SMARTING project develops a revolutionary system that allows users to control their own brain signals during an entertaining training program in order to improve general brain fitness.... Electroencephalography (EEG) measures the differences of electrical potentials between electrodes placed on the scalp. EEG is still the preferred technique for a wide range of applications: diagnosis of various brain diseases, defining neural correlates of cognitive functions and the steering of human machine interfaces (HMI). With their mobile EEG system, all these applications will benefit from increased flexibility and user-friendliness.
