MARINE MECHANICS INSTITUTE
Marine Mechanics Institute (MMI) in Orlando, Florida, offers short-term, specialized training for future marine mechanics. MMI’s program is hands-on and uses current, high-quality technologies and equipment. MMI also offers excellent services and perks for students as well as graduates. At MMI, students work on high-end equipment produced by such manufacturers as Yamaha and Suzuki. Through hands-on training, they learn how to diagnose and repair diesel engines, as well as four- and two-stroke... outboards, fuel and lube systems, and more. Programs last only 51 weeks so that students may enter the workplace as quickly as possible. Another benefit of an MMI education is the school’s job-placement service, which helps students as well as graduates to find employment. MMI graduates also receive snap-on tools upon graduation. MMI offers comprehensive federal financial aid, including loans, grants and scholarships. To apply for aid, applicants must submit a FAFSA. The school admits new students on a rolling basis, and new class sessions begin every three weeks. To find out more about admissions procedures, contact an MMI representative.
