Lumiio is a global digital health company that specializes in real-world data and evidence (RWD/RWE) platform technology and services to enable (rare disease) patient organizations, researchers, and life science companies to accelerate therapeutic development, clinical research, and market access to unlock the future of personalized patient outcomes. Lack of patient data prolongs R&D for new treatments resulting in delayed access to life-saving treatments for patients and reduced market size... and ROI for Pharma. We are solving this problem through a 2-sided business model that enables rapid, scalable patient data generation through organized patient communities. Lumiio facilitates a patient-to-pharma bridge to accelerate clinical trial recruitment, and real-world data collection to support post-marketing surveillance (Phase IV) to expand access and reimbursement, while providing sustainability, and increased value back to patients and patient organizations. We have deployed an advanced platform designed to ingest virtually any type of health data with a bi-directional sharing capability (e.g. patient<->physician). The current focus is on clinical data, patient-reported data, and wearables. Our commercial model is OTR to set up new data programs/registries and then ARR. Lumiio has an exceptional team with significant global expertise and experience - 12+ years from the Canadian Neuromuscular Disease Registry (CNDR) to Lumiio’s current data programs, experience expanding 60 countries for over 150 rare diseases, and combined, have over 250 data releases and publications from their registry work. Lumiio was founded in 2016 by Dr. Lawrence Korngut, MD (Neurologist) and Josh Lounsberry as a spinout from UCalgary Hotchkiss Brain Institute.
