Founded in 1968, the company initially specialized in the processing of salted and dried cod. It was then bought by the three sons of the founders: Roch and Luc Lelièvre and Marc Lemoignan. The three partners then joined forces with three other fishing factories to form Gaspé CuredMD, thus continuing one of the oldest fishing traditions dating back to 1755. The company thus benefits from an experience passed down over several centuries.
