LAZY BONE PUBLICATIONS

Lazy Bone Publications was founded in May 2012 with the intention of making short & crisp books for college students studying in degree college and pursuing professional courses along with it. We first published books on two subjects of F.Y.B.Com. Though the handwritten books impressed faculties, the books were published quite late in the academic year and there were hardly any students/institutes to whom we could sell the books. In the latter part of the year, we published books for two subject... s of T.Y.B.Com. These books did reasonably well. The concept, style, and content were appreciated by many. That really set the ball rolling for us!! In the academic year 2013-14, we took a big plunge by publishing books for 12th standard (commerce). We tapped hundreds of institutes. We also published books for 11th standard (commerce) in that year and continued publishing T.Y.B.Com books. These institutes loved our concept and soon we were providing our books to more than one hundred institutes. However, we received a lot of flak for our content & service. Our content was simple and easy to understand but was not enough in quality & quantity for students to secure good marks. There were many delays & mistakes in deliveries leaving our clients frustrated. We realised we had to revamp our entire psychology of developing content or we would lose the entire clientele that we had developed. We had to strengthen our back-end as well. Thereafter, we took reviews of various leading faculties and reworked on our content. We started almost from scratch and rebuild the various books we had. We spoke to our vendors as well and worked on improving back-end processes. Since then, we have been improvising, innovating and growing year after year. However, we can’t thank enough all of our clients & vendors who have stuck with us in our tough times. At present, we provide our notes to more than 700 institutes and touch lives of more than 1,50,000 students. By the end of this year (2018-19), we will be selling around 2 lakh books. We happily employ a team of around 40 people. Apart from this, many other job workers, authors, and writers etc. work with us on a freelance basis. An important part of our story is our innovation arm – Lazy Bone Innovations (LBI). This is an initiative that is etched deep in our storyline. At LBI, we develop audio-visual presentations and mobile apps which have helped students to enhance their learning experience by leaps & bounds. The main purpose of taking this initiative was to become a one-shop-stop for all the needs of institutes apart from books.More
