Kussad Institute of Court Reporting is an accredited court reporting school in Austin, Texas, that utilizes an innovative and rigorous curriculum. Kussad Instituteโs academics are challenging and intensive, and only a select number of students have the opportunity to enroll. Kussad Instituteโs innovative StenEd program is a multi-faceted curriculum that teaches ways of transcribing by ear and of integrating longhand and shorthand. To master StenEd, students are encouraged to practice their ... skills and drills for at least two hours each day. To support students in meeting the challenges of Kussadโs curriculum, the school offers small classes that promise personalized instruction. Students who attend all classes and regularly practice their skills are usually able to graduate in three years. Kussad Instituteโs admissions process is selective, and accepts approximately 40% of applicants yearly. Admissions requirements include possession of a high school diploma or GED. Applicants will also need to take a typing exam and interview with the school director. Applicants may apply for federal financial aid by completing a FAFSA. Financial aid could include Pell grants, loans and other sources of tuition assistance. Most students receive aid from a combination of sources.
