Karakoram is a developmental innovation consultancy and developmental for-profit/for-good venture accelerator that applies entrepreneurial thinking, strategy, design, and engineering to create breakthrough solutions for the world's toughest humanitarian challenges. We partner closely with our clients to make a future inclusive of people, planet and profit. We do this through a deep focus on empathy, optimism, and applying creativity as a complement to analytical reasoning. Incorporated in 2019, Karakoram has focused on de-risking developmental ventures by injecting the same type of product/venture mentality and rapid experimental engineering used by top Silicon Valley accelerators and product shops. We have built high-impact projects across three continents, ranging from adapting Google Venture Sprints for developmental challenges to demonstrating how rapid prototyping of software, hardware, and IoT can de-risk ambitious projects for our clients and partners.
