INTERNATIONAL INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ALLIANCE - IIPA

International Intellectual Property Alliance (IIPA) is a private sector coalition of seven trade associations representing U.S. companies that produce copyright-protected material, including computer software, films, television programs, music, books, and journals. IIPA’s member associations represent over 3,200 U.S. companies producing and distributing materials protected by copyright laws throughout the world: computer and video games for video game consoles, personal computers, and the internet; theatrical films, television programs, DVDs, and home video and digital representations of audiovisual works; music, records, CDs, and audiocassettes; and fiction and non-fiction books, education instructional and assessment materials, professional and scholarly journals, databases, and software in all formats. IIPA and its member associations which are working with the U.S. government, foreign governments, and local rights holder representatives, analyze and work to reform copyright laws and enforcement regimes around the globe seeking adequate levels of copyright protection and effective enforcement that will foster economic, technological, and cultural development.
