ILLION is a VR development startup based in Seoul, Korea and Los Angeles, USA. The company was established in 2015 shortly after a team of skilled developers from Nexon shared the same vision of an epic MORPG title on VR. They decided to start their own company on the 11th of November. This date later became ILLION's logo “1111+ON”, meaning “We’re on from 11.11”. The company closed a $2.3 million pre-A round led by YJM Games (listed on the KOSDAQ) in July 2016, was ranked as one of the... top 3 startups at CKGSB China demo day in December of 2016, and won “The Best GDC Pitch” in March 2017. ILLION will soon be launching a full MORPG experience in the likes of Dark Soul, Diablo, and Monster Hunters for VR, called Preta:Vendetta Rising. The game makes an ambitious attempt in bringing a full MORPG gaming experience to VR with cross-platform multiplayer modes, something that no other VR developer has done before.
