HYBERNIA MEDICAL
Hybernia Medical develops a cooling catheter system designed for the treatment of acute organ ischemia. The device facilitates metabolic engineering of the ischemic tissue through controlled modulation of its thermal energy and delivers hypothermic protection to the organ in need, enabling medical service providers to apply it during endovascular stroke treatment. John Pile-Spellman and Jae H. Choi co-founded the company in Uniondale, New York in 2006.
