HOPE PHONES
Hope Phones is a campaign that raises funds for the global efforts of its parent organization, [Medic Mobile](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/medic-mobile), through cell phone recycling. It accepts any phone, working or not, from individuals, organizations, and companies. When a person recycles a used mobile through Hope Phones, its recycling partner transfers the value of the phone to its account so that they can acquire appropriate new technology for the field. The recycling partner erases all data through a process certified through R2, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001. The phones are refurbished for sale or recycled. Hope Phones was launched in 2009.
