HEIDESAND RAIFFEISEN-WARENGENOSSENSCHAFT

Heidesand is a Raiffeisen cooperative representing over 1,000 members in Rotenburg / Wümme, Heidekreis, Verden, and Bremen in the Hanseatic city. The company was founded in 1892. At 125 years of age, they are certainly a company with a long history, but essentially a "young" goods cooperative. Having grown to almost 110 million euros in sales through mergers and acquisitions of other market participants, Heidesand maintains a global presence. They have 200 employees plus trainees and a large number of temporary workers, making them a major employer in their rural region. As a result, they take very seriously their responsibility to the region, to the people, and to highly productive agriculture. They face this task every day.
