Mergers and acquisitions In August of 2015, HealthMarkets Insurance Agency acquired Benefitter Insurance Solutions, Inc., a San Francisco-based technology company that provides tools to help small and mid-sized businesses and their employees make informed benefit decisions as they transition from group to individual coverage.
