HEALING ARTS INSTITUTE

The Healing Arts Institute in Sacramento, California, offers an intensive, short-term, low-residency program in massage therapy. The program’s schedule allows students who have full-time jobs or live in other areas to attend. Academics are divided into three modules, and students complete each module over the course of a single weekend. The first module certifies students as massage professionals; the second module leads to certification as a massage practitioner; and the third module leads t... o certification in massage therapy. The final module involves hands-on clinical massage practice at the school’s clinic. Once students receive their certification, they may also enroll in one of the school’s more than 100 continuing education classes. The Healing Arts Institute also offers a 120-hour acupressure certification program in collaboration with the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley, California.
