Hatsumi is a therapeutic virtual reality platform uniting the brain and body with artistic expression. Designed to communicate lived experience, help develop mindfulness techniques and reduce symptoms of mental health and chronic pain, Hatsumi exists at the intersection of behavioural healthcare, participatory art and cutting-edge technology. Facilitated by a healthcare professional, users are able to illustrate sensations, emotions and pain onto a lifesize avatar using 3D painting tools.
