HALTE à L’OBSOLESCENCE PROGRAMMéE
Halte à l’Obsolescence Programmée is a French consumer-rights group that uses legal and extralegal action to pressure companies into refraining from doing planned obsolescence. It does so through filing lawsuits and engaging in litigations against companies that they think violate the rights of consumers and the environment. Laetitia Vasseur and Samuel Sauvage founded Halte à l’Obsolescence Programmée in July 2015 amid news of companies allegedly violating consumer rights. Its headquarters is in Paris in France.
