GIF-Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH ("GIF-E") strives to introduce innovative developments into the market and into series production for protected patents of the vehicle powertrain. Current developments include the Axial Piston Engine, the Cone-Ring-Transmission, and a new Dry Torsion Damper. The company has a long tradition under the former name Romot GmbH, that was founded in 1973. In the year 2014, the name was changed in GIF-Entwicklungsgesellschaft and the registered office was transferred f... rom Düren to the city of Alsdorf. The founders and employees of GIF-E have extensive experience as senior engineers in the automotive industry and decades of university expertise at the RWTH Aachen. In addition to the contracted developments of Axial Piston Engine, Cone-Ring-Transmission, and Dry Torsion Damper, GIF-E also manages the further development of this products. The Cone-Ring-Transmission is currently being launched into production for the Chinese market at a GIF-E partner site.
