Ghoorni is a campus-based marketplace for the university students of Bangladesh that lets them search for the ads posted by the other students from their campuses. It’s a platform where local businesses can also advertise to the students of one or more specific universities. Classified ads portals are popular among the university students. Unfortunately, regular classified ads portals have some issues that keep many students away from using the tools: • Lack of Security • Lack of Privacy... of Information • More Hassle/Complexity • Too Broad Ghoorni narrowed its focus down to university students only. It’s a marketplace where each of the members is a verified student. So, instead of travelling to meet a stranger, a student can buy from or sell to someone at his or her campus. Ghoorni has its own private messaging system which means a user doesn’t necessarily have to share phone numbers with another user. Thus, Ghoorni ensures better security, privacy of information and less complexity. Ghoorni does not only focus on the students, but also on the local businesses situated around the university campuses.
