Fire Testing Technology Ltd. engages in the design, manufacture, supply, maintenance, and service of reaction-to-fire test equipment. It offers air pollution control systems, toxicity test attachments for NBS smoke density chambers, radiant panel flame spread apparatus, toxicity test apparatus, calorimeters, circuit integrity under fire conditions apparatus, calorimeters, cone corrosimeters, white light smoke measurement systems, instruments for burning behavior of bunched cables, non-combustibi... lity apparatus, single-flame. In 1989 Fire Testing Technology Ltd, the world's first instrument company to be totally dedicated to the manufacture, supply, maintenance and service of fire testing equipment, was set up by the instrument engineer Stephen Upton and the fire scientist Stephen Grayson. By 1998 we were the major world suppliers of calorimeters, NBS smoke chambers and oxygen indexes and make more than 40 different fire test instruments. Our position as the world's leading supplier of fire testing instruments was consolidated in March 1998 when we acquired the fire instrument business of Rheometrics Scientific which incorporated instruments sold under the trade name Stanton Redcroft. We have been the leading manufacturer of full scale calorimeters since 1989 and the introduction of our second generation cone calorimeter in 1993, which sold at half the price of other commercial cone calorimeters, made this technology accessible to a much wider group of researchers. In 1998 we offered the full range of equipment needed to undertake the fire testing work required for the European construction products directive. This includes the Single Burning Item (SBI, EN 13823), the ISO 1182 test, the flooring radiant panel test, and the Small burner test, ISO 11925-2. We have consolidated new Windows based software for our cone calorimeters and larger scale calorimeters, introduced Micro Calorimeter, ENV 1187, UL 1581, ASTM 2843 and so on as just some of the recent additions to the product range. FTT has now completed a comprehensive service and spares supply review for the Stanton Redcroft range of equipment and now offers full support for this range of equipment. This includes regular maintenance contracts, breakdown maintenance and supply of spares. FTT Windows software can also be retrofitted to Stanton Redcroft, Dark Star and Atlas cone calorimeters and NBS smoke chambers. We have the largest group of full time fire testing instrument design engineers, resident in any instrument company in the world and is the world's leading suppliers of cone calorimeters, larger scale calorimeters, NBS smoke chambers, oxygen indexes and several other instruments.
