FILM SOCIETY OF LINCOLN CENTER

The Film Society of Lincoln Center is a film presentation organization that celebrates American and international cinema; recognizes and supports new filmmakers; and enhances awareness, accessibility, and understanding of the art among a broad and diverse film going audience. The organization presents year-round programming that includes premieres of new films, major retrospectives, in-depth symposia, and high profile events. It runs two state-of-the-art year round cinemas: the Walter Reade Theater and the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center. Film Comment is a cinematic journal produced by the organization. Each year the organization presents its annual Gala Tribute honoring legendary stars and industry leaders at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall. At various times of the year the Film Society partners with Hollywood studios to present premieres and special live appearances.
