Over the past 54 years, over, 3.6 million vehicles left the Żerań Plant. From that number, they exported almost 1,252,000 cars till 1990, which found buyers in 80 countries of the world. The FSO made cars can be found inter alia on the roads of: Great Britain, Czech Republic and Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, former Yugoslavia countries, France, China, Iran, Iraq, Columbia, Peru and many others. Their buyers were mainly customers from Central and Eastern Europe, Asia, and from the Mediterranean Basin. Previously, the FSO’s export potential was based on Lanos mainly – a model eagerly bought by customers especially in Ukraine. The total export of this brand of vehicles and assembly kits only to Ukraine exceeded 500 000 units. The sales of Lanos imported from FSO in Ukraine accounted for approx. 35% of the market share in the lower medium segment. The present FSO’s basic product - Chevrolet Aveo, manufactured in 3 body types is the Company’s driving force. Its production volume of 30 000 units in 2007 along with production of Lanos and assembly kits allowed the Company to be among the top ten Polish exporters.More
