It may apply to countertops, vanities, toilet partitions and screens, telephone booths, work surfaces, conference areas, food preparation areas, food servers' sales counters, servers' stations, hospitals, and medical facilities, military establishments, window stools and sills, interiors of railcars, and many more. It was started in 1982 and is headquartered in North Kansas City, Missouri.
