energis-Netzgesellschaft is responsible for planning, operating and marketing the electricity and gas distribution network. The electricity distribution network is around 6,600 kilometers long, the gas distribution network around 1,500 kilometers. Around 1,120 gigawatt hours of electricity and around 1,300 gigawatt hours of gas flow through the distribution grids each year. Around 230,000 people are supplied with electricity and gas. To date, around 10,000 producers of green electricity are connected to the electricity distribution network.
