DURANGO SYSTEMS
Durango Systems is a personal business computer manufacturer and software developer. The product of the company, F-85 featured a multitasking operating system called DX-85, which included an integral Indexed Sequential (ISAM) file system and per-task file locking. The implementation language for applications was called Star BASIC and was a compiled-to-P-code system complete with the usual multi-tasking mechanisms (semaphores, inter-process communication). CP/M and MP/M from Digital Research was offered as an option. As of December 31, 1984, it operates as a subsidiary of Molecular Computer Corp. In 1977, George E. Comstock, John M. Scandalios, and Charles L. Waggoner founded the company in San Jose, California.
