DENTAL ASSISTING NATIONAL BOARD
The Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) was founded in 1980 and is the organization responsible for dental assistant certifications. A total of nearly 37,000 dental assistants are DANB certified nationwide. DANB is a nonprofit organization that is part of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence. The CDA and COA certification programs offered by DANB have been accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
