DE-CIX is an internet exchange that provides internet exchange services and operates several carrier and data center-neutral internet exchanges in various metro markets in Europe, the Middle East, and North America. It also provides the infrastructure for the bilateral settlement-free exchange of internet traffic, called peering, between all types of internet service providers, including broadband providers, content delivery networks, web hosts, and incumbent operators.
