CYTOTRACK APS

CytoTrack ApS is a medical company that offers a breakthrough technology platform for detection Circulating Tumor Cells in blood (CTC).\ The key features is detection of CTCs without being dependant of EpCAM enrichment or filtration based on size. The scanner has an ultra high scanning capacity of 100 million cells in just 1 minute. Single intact cells can be isolated with the CytoPicker feature, for downstream applications such as Single Cell PCR and FISH. The technology was invented as a par... t of a research development project at The National Hospital of Denmark. The project was headed by Professor John Philip.The application was to identify FCMB (Foetal Cells in Maternal Blood). The project discovered that conventional instruments such as flowcytometry and common fluorescent scanners were not good enough for this type of application and could not detect the extremely rare foetal cells and could not offer features for molecular characterization. The CytoTrack technology was invented and developed specifically for the challenges of rare cell detection by Christian Caspersen. Other applications such as detection of CTCs were soon adopted.More
