In 1915,Don Gustavo Vásquez Betancourt,an entrepreneur and visionary from Antioquia, had the initiative of structuring a set of study programs - technical and practical - that will enable the community - especially the inhabitants of the city of Medellín (Antioquia - Colombia) - Be able to train in a short time to perform office work.The Remington School was founded,which stood out as a progressive institution,consistent with the demands of companies and industry in general in the region. In addition, his orientation was always inclusive.In fact,the School was a pioneer in opening training spaces for women in our environment. At that time the slogan was precise and clear: "Shorthand and typing will make women independent." It was gradually recognized as the Remington Organization.
