CITY OF LLOYDMINSTER

The City of Lloydminster has the unusual geographic distinction of straddling the provincial border between Alberta and Saskatchewan. The city is incorporated by both provinces as a single city with a single municipal administration. It has long been recognized as a perennial economic powerhouse with strong ties to both the petroleum and agricultural sectors. It is governed by a seven-member city council, consisting of a mayor and six city councilors.
