BLUE HILLS REGIONAL TECHNICAL SCHOOL
Blue Hills Regional Technical School in Canton, Massachusetts, offers unique educational programs for high school students. Each program incorporates intensive academic study as well as career training. Students also receive extensive support throughout their time at Blue Hills, as instructors and staff provide one-on-one academic and professional mentoring. The Blue Hills Regional School District was formed on December 17, 1963, to serve the needs of member towns’ residents. The District ori... ginally included Avon, Braintree, Canton, Holbrook, Norwood, Randolph and Westwood; Dedham and Milton joined in 1987. The District School Committee was then authorized by the towns to establish and maintain educational programs at the secondary, post-secondary and adult levels in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 74 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The school opened in September 1966. Its immediate success, coupled with increasing admissions, necessitated the building of additional facilities. Moreover, local employers needed more employees specially trained in certain areas.
