BIGWALK
Bigwalk (빅워크) is a social business venture based in Seoul, Korea. It offers a free application which enables smartphone users to donate by walking. Its mission is to provide amputees with safe and high quality artificial legs with the donations collected. As the number of amputees in Korea is increasing at a rate of 25 people per day, adding up to 8694 amputees per year, Bigwalk was launched with the incentive to help them out. Its smartphone application enables users to donate 1 won per 100 meters that they walk. Launched in June 2011, Bigwalk is an application developed to add meaning to the everyday activity of its active users.
