AUXULIN PHARMACEUTICALS
Auxulin Pharmaceuticals is a startup specialty pharmaceutical company seeking to augment traditional insulin therapy used in the treatment of diabetes. Auxulin is developing a clinically validated supplement (AUX-101) that, in initial proof-of-concept human studies, significantly reduced hyperglycemic periods (by a factor of 3) and hemoglobin A1C levels in patients with Type 1 diabetes (T1Ds). We also expect AUX-101 to be effective in patients with Type 2 diabetes (T2Ds), but have not yet done any human studies in that population. Auxulin was founded by two T1Ds who understand there is a clear need to improve management of blood glucose levels. Patients with T1Ds die on average 11 to 13 years earlier than the general population.
