American Council on Education (ACE) is a higher education association that represents the presidents of various accredited, degree-granting institutions, which include two- and four-year colleges, private and public universities, and nonprofit and for-profit entities in the United States. The association convenes higher education organizations through the Washington Higher Education Secretariat (WHES). It has a member base of more than 1,700 institutions. American Council on Educationโs The Center for Education Attainment and Innovation provides services for adult learners and nontraditional students in the United States. The Center for Internationalization and Global Engagement (CIGE) offers programs and services that support the internationalization of higher education. Center for Policy Research and Strategy (CPRS) provides thought leadership at the intersection of public policy and institutional strategy. American Council on Education also conducts discussions on key issues such as Pell grant funding, scientific research, tax proposals, and more.
