ACTION TUTORING
Action Tutoring supports young people facing socio-economic disadvantages to achieve a meaningful level of academic attainment, intending to enable them to progress in education, employment, or training. We do this by partnering high-quality volunteer tutors with pupils to increase their subject knowledge, confidence, and study skills. Our vision is a world in which no child’s life chances are limited by their socio-economic background. Working in partnership with state secondary schools, we provide volunteer tutors to support pupils from low-income backgrounds to achieve a 4-5 grade (equivalent to C grade) in GCSE English and Maths. Achieving this significantly improves pupils'​ chances of going on to further education, employment, or training.
