Able SC is a Center for Independent Living (CIL), not a service for "helping" people with disabilities but one that focuses on self-empowerment and independence. It is a nonprofit, community-based, cross-disability organization that provides independent living services. The organization provides advocacy, services, and support to empower people with disabilities to live active, independent lives. They have more than 50 percent of their staff and over 50 percent of their Board of Directors who are people with disabilities.
