A.P. PLASMAN

A.P. Plasmanโs early history started in 1978 with Build-A-Mold Ltd. (BAM), a two-man mold shop in 2,000 square feet of rented plant space. By 1990, BAM was utilizing 35,000 square feet and had acquired four injection-molding machines for tool tryouts. In 1992, they started to diversify within the plastics industry. They purchased a paint facility in Chatham (โ92) and constructed a molding and assembly facility (Windsor Plant 1) in 1996. By 1997, they had custom built their Tecumseh paint ... facility doubling their paint capacity and they consolidated their Windsor and Chatham paint operations into the Tilbury Plant the following year. In 2002, they constructed Windsor Plant 2, a dedicated assembly operation, and they are currently constructing a new production facility in Fort Payne, Alabama which will house all of their processes under one root. Today, they are a highly integrated, full-service supplier in the plastics industry with over 900,000 square feet of plant space. Their Build-A-Mold division is a full service, vertically integrated tooling house providing all services from prototype and tool design right through to tool build and final tool tryout. They offer flexible and dedicated plastic injection molding, state-of-the art automated painting and coatings plants and complete assembly opertations of Class โAโ exterior trim products and sub-systems to a variety of OEM and Tier 1 customers. Their production facilities are located in Windsor, Ontario and Fort Payne, Alabama and they maintain a sales presence in Canada, Michigan and Japan.
