SACRED HEART MISSION
Sacred Heart Mission is an independent non-profit organization that has been rehabilitating the lives of thousands of homeless people. The story of the Mission began in St Kilda in 1982, when Parish Priest Father Ernie Smith opened his door and shared a meal with a man who was hungry and experiencing homelessness. In response to this act of generosity, Sacred Heart Mission was formed to provide basic necessities of life - food, clothing, emergency relief, housing, and companionship - to those who are homeless or in financial hardship in the Port Phillip area of Melbourne.
