NATIONAL GUARANTEES FUND

National Guarantees Fund is a public institution created by the national government to provide the access of every small, micro and med size companies to the credit through the grant of guarantees that endorse debts. Fondo Nacional de Garantías S.A was constituted by the Deed No. 130, atributed in Febrary 16 of 1982 in Notaria 32 of Bogotá supported by Instituto de Fomento Industrial (IFI), Corporación Financiera de Desarrollo and the companies engaged in Asociación Colombiana de Medianas y... pequeñas industrias (Acopi). The organization begun in its labor in June of the year described previously giving guarantees in credits for both small and med size enterprises on the manufacturer industry. Lately, all services offered have been enlarged to cover the entries related in the public growth of the national economy and supported by Fondo de Promociones de Exportación PROEXPO, recently Banco de Comercio Exterior. Since 1992, FNG has begun to endorse emergent economical entries and recently process the credit guarantees placed to companies involved on business which belong to commerce and services.More
